- 2018 09 25: Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received in Erbil the new Speaker of Iraqi Council of Representatives, Mr. Mohamed al-Halbusi.
- 2018 09 24: Prime Minister Barzani separately met Iraqi Prime Minister Mr. Haider al-Abadi, the head of Iraqi National Wisdom Movement, Al-Hikma, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, the Vice-President of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Nouri al-Maliki, the leader of Al-Bina Coalition, Mr. Falih al-Fayyadh, the head of the Fatih List, Mr. Hadi al-Amiri, the Head of the National list, Al-Wataniya, Mr. Ayad Allawi, and the leader of Al-Sadr Current, Sayyied Muqtada Al-Sadr.
- 2018 09 04: Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Ján Kubiš, Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Iraq and his accompanying delegation. They discussed the latest developments in the political process in Iraq and the formation of the new Iraqi government.
- 2018 08 01: Second Deloitte report on Oil and Gas review in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. Independent review of the oil and gas industry, today new verified data on oil exports, consumption and revenues have been published covering the period from 1 July 2017 to 31 December 2017.
- 2018 07 19: KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani inaugurated a main training and capacity building center for the Ministry of Electricity last wednesday in Erbil.
- 2018 07 13: Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani met Dutch Prime Minister, Mr. Mark Rutte, in The Hague. Prime Minister Barzani highlighted the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the Netherlands as well as the Dutch government’s assistance to the people of Iraqi Kurdistan
- 2018 05 24: Following the invitation from the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Head of the KRG Department of Foreign Relations, Minister Falah Mustafa, with his accompanying delegation paid an official visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
- 2018 05 22: The Head of the KRG Department of Foreign Relations (DFR), Minister Falah Mustafa Bakir, participated in the 13th annual Global Security Forum (GLOBSEC) in Bratislava (Slovakia), which was held between 17-19 May, 2018 and dedicated to “a determination to make the world a better and safer place”.
- 2018 05 11: Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani met with President Vladimir Putin Wednesday in Moscow. President Putin expressed his willingness to further develop bilateral relations, particularly in the economic and energy fields.
- 2018 04 25: The Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq (IHEC) cordially invites international observers to monitor the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections scheduled for 12 May 2018.
- 2018 04 08: Prime Minister Barzani receives condolences from Iraqi and world leaders, following the passing of his brother Dilovan Idris Barzani.
- 2018 04 01: The KRG Council of Ministers congratulates Christians on Easter and Babylonian-Assyrian New Year.
- 2018 03 29: Prime Minister Barzani receives international coalition forces new commander, Major General Walter Piatt, in Iraq. General Piatt expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation and coordination with the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces.
- 2018 03 29: Prime Minister Barzani meets with UN Special Envoy where Jan Kubis expressed his satisfaction with the positive steps taken by the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi federal government.
- 2018 03 29: KRG Council of Ministers approves revised salary distribution system.
- 2018 03 26: Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa resumed their direct flights to Erbil since the air ban was lifted.
- 2018 02 19: KRG delegation participates in Munich Security Conference.
- 2018 01 25: Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani met several world leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
- 2018 01 25: After holding meetings with world leaders in the sidelines the World Economic Forum, Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani spoke to Kurdish media agencies in Davos.
- 2018 01 22: KRG leaders meets with top Iranian officials in Tehran. Prime Minister Barzani met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani who expressed his government’s desire to further develop trade and economic ties between the two sides.
- 2018 01 21: KRG Prime Minister Barzani met with the Iraqi Prime Minister al-Abadi. Political and security developments in the region and resolution of outstanding issues on the basis of the Iraqi Constitution were discussed.
- 2018 01 16: The first report by the international auditing company, Deloitte, is released. The report, which includes verified numbers of export and sales of oil in the Kurdistan Region for the first six months of 2017, is available to the public.

- 2018 01 15: Delegations from the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government met in Erbil to discuss airport operations, management of border crossings, operation of dams, and other areas of concern.
- 2018 01 03: KRG Spokesperson Safeen Dizayee responded to the statements of Iraqi Prime Minister Mr. Haider al-Abadi. The Iraqi PM mentioned a number of topics related to the production rate and sales of the Kurdistan Region’s oil, salaries, and other issues related to the Kurdistan Region.
- 2018 01 01: Passengers, airlines, cargo companies, travel agencies and other provider and users of different services have been compelled to either cancel their businesses and plans or adopt far more expensive, inefficient and risky solutions. Moreover, closure of the airports has created an immediate and significant impact on the delivery of humanitarian assistance to thousands of internally displaced Iraqis and Syrian refugees in need of urgent assistance in the Kurdistan Region and neighboring provinces.
- 2018 01 03: The KRG welcomes the signs and steps taken by Baghdad last week, such as a visit by an Iraqi government delegation to the Kurdistan Region, calling for the formation of a joint commission to hold talks regarding border points, airports and dams in the Kurdistan Region.
- 2017 12 29: In the last meeting in 2017, the Council welcomed the Federal Government’s initiative to form technical committees to discuss ways to resolve mutual issues, including public employees’ salaries.
- 2017 12 14: KRG and Kurdistan Parliament discuss financial situation in Kurdistan Region. Furthermore, they talked about budget options for the 2018 fiscal year, relations with Baghdad, Kurdistan oil production, mechanisms to pay back debts and fighting corruption amongst other things.
- 2017 12 10: KRG Ministry of Peshmerga Statement regarding the speech of Iraqi Premierminister Haider al-Abadi about the military defeat of ISIS in which he did not mention the achievement and support of the Peshmerga who were decisive in the defeat against the Islamic State.
- 2017 12 07: KRG Ministry of Peshmerga Statement regarding the speech of Iraqi Premierminister Haider al-Abadi in which he compared the defeat of the Islamic State with the military action against the Kurds in the disputed areas as response to the Independence Referendum.
- 2017 12 07: KRG Spokesperson Safeen Dizayee responds to the latest press conference of the Iraqi Primeminister Haider Al-Abadi. In this statement border crossings, the flight ban and the political developments are the main topics.
- 2017 11 27: Spokesperson of the KRG, Safeen Dizayee, explained in a statement that all unfair, punitive measures by the Iraqi Federal Government and Parliament against the people and government of the Kurdistan Region taken in reaction to the independence referendum must be lifted.
- 2017 11 14: KRG Statement on Iraqi Federal Supreme Court’s Interpretation of Article 1 of the Constitution. The KRG was always in favor of finding solutions based on the Iraqi constitution.
- 2017 11 05: KRG Council of Ministers’ follow up statement on 2018 draft Federal Budget Bill. The KRG addresses the unconstitutional drafting of Iraq’s federal budget bill 2018 without the participation of the Kurdistan Region.
- 2017 11 02: KRG Council of Ministers statement on Iraq’s 2018 draft federal Budget Bill. The KRG Council of Ministers requests the Federal Iraqi Council of Ministers not to approve the draft bill of Iraq’s 2018 budget without the KRG’s participation.
