The Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting led by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. The ministers were briefed on the draft of the High Council of Women’s Development bylaws. The Prime Minister addressed the importance of women in the Kurdistan Region, stressing that the KRG committs to removing gender inequality and increasing their societal role.
The Head of the Department of Foreign Relations, Minister Safeen Dizayee, discussed the attempts to stop migrants trying to enter Europe from Belarus. The Council of Ministers tasked the Ministry of Interior to take legal measures against those putting migrant lives at risk. Moreover, the Department of Foreign Relations said efforts to help those stranded abroad continues.
