President Barzani meets his UAE counterpart in Abu Dhabi

During a productive meeting on May 24, President Nechirvan Barzani engaged in discussions with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi.

The two Presidents explored the UAE’s connections with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the current state of affairs in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and Erbil-Baghdad relations. They also shared perspectives on recent regional developments.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing economic, trade, and energy cooperation. They discussed opportunities for UAE investment in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, particularly in infrastructure and development projects.

Recognizing the complexities of the Middle East situation, they underscored the necessity of collaborative efforts and comprehensive cooperation among nations to uphold peace, stability, and prevent further escalation of conflicts.
