Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani travelled to Munich, Germany to participate in the Munich Security Conference, that took place from February 14 to 16. The President engaged in several meetings with leaders and senior officials from the nations attending the conference. The focus of these discussions lays on the relationships between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and other nations, as well as the recent developments in the region.
He met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Germany’s Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani any many other world leaders.
