Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani met separately with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Prime Minister-designate Adil Abdul Mahdi and Iraqi Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbusi, in Baghdad.
Prime Minister Barzani discussed the political, security and economic situation in Iraq with Iraqi leaders, as well as coordination and cooperation between the Kurdistan Regional Government and Baghdad to eradicate remaining terrorist cells.
They stressed that dialogue and mutual understanding, within the framework of the federal Constitution, can settle the differences between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad.
They hoped that the new government in Iraq would achieve political stability, efficiently provide services and meet constitutional rights of all citizens.
They also emphasised the effective participation of the Kurdistan Region parties in the administration of the new government.
