The Inaugural Kurdistan National Prayer Breakfast

The Kurdistan National Prayer Breakfast, held for the first time in Erbil from April 22 to 25. The event brought together leading figures from politics, religion and society to pray together for unity, peace, and reconciliation. The event focused on promoting unity, reconciliation, and interfaith understanding, emphasizing the importance of peace, coexistence, and mutual respect across different faiths.

As Prime Minister Masrour Barzani stated at the event, “Kurdistan’s strength lies in its diversity, and we remain committed to fostering a society where all communities can live and worship freely.”

The gathering also highlighted the Kurdistan Region’s rich religious diversity and its ongoing commitment to fostering a society where people of all backgrounds can live and worship freely. Prime Minister Barzani reaffirmed the Region’s dedication to religious freedom, coexistence, and unity, pledging continued support for all faith communities through protection, education, and inclusive governance.
