Prime Minister Barzani Travels to Dubai for High-Level Meetings

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani arrived in Dubai to participate in the World Governments Summit 2026, following an official invitation from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai.

Upon arrival, the Prime Minister was received by HE Abdullah Al Nuaimi, UAE Minister of Justice.

On the sidelines of the summit, the Prime Minister will meet with senior UAE officials as well as leaders and representatives of participating countries to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and exchange views on the latest developments in Iraq and the wider region.

In the meeting with HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, both stressed the need to further strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE across various sectors.

They also discussed the situation in Iraq, developments in Syria, and broader regional dynamics.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held a series of bilateral meetings with Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan; HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates; Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze; Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit; and Khaled El-Enany, Director-General of UNESCO.
